President Elect Dr Thushara Rodrigo and his spouse Chanuri, assisted by the committee hosted yet another successful Annual Spring event on behalf of the SLMDA on the 5th May 2019 at the picturesque venue, the Three Rivers Golf Club in Essex.
The event took off to a flying start with the scientific programme at which Prof Michael Eddleston of Edinburgh delivered the SLMDA oration entitled “Preventing deaths from pesticide poisoning in the North Central Province of Srilanka” with a reminiscent note of his stay in Srilanka as a medical student. It was followed by the AGM at which compliments were paid to the sterling performance by the out going president Dr Mahadeva Manohar, wife Tharksha and his committee.
The evening dinner was a sellout with well over three hundred guests dancing to the tunes of “Sky High”. To view the images click on
